3 Affiliate Marketing Tactics You Should Consider

There are several tactics that will increase your conversion rate and sales. As with all marketing techniques, you must test and track your results to see what works best for you. But if you don’t know where to start, let me present three tactics here for you.

1. Focus your web pages on ONE specific product or service. Your prospect should have only two options, buy or move on. Having more than one product or service will only confuse your visitors.

What should be on your web page? Reviews and testimonials. Include reviews filled with benefits so that your visitors know exactly what you can do for them. Get testimonials from previous customers. Testimonials are most effective when they include the full name and photo of the person providing it.

2. Offer a free report to your visitors. The report should provide information on something that your prospective clients want to know about and be related to your product or service. Have your visitor opt-in to your list to receive the report. That way, you can create an autoresponder email series that will be mailed to your prospects reminding them about your product or service. Research shows that, on average, if you don’t get a sale right off, sales are closed on the seventh contact with a prospect.

What should be in your autoresponder series? Benefits, benefits, and more benefits! Focus on how much easier and more enjoyable life will be with your product or service. The subject lines should make the prospect want to read more in the email. Avoid using the word “free” though because spam filters will dump your message into the bulk or spam folder instead of the inbox. Convince those who signed up for your free report that they will be missing something big if they do not use your product or service.

3. Write articles for e-zines and e-reports to generate interest in your product or service. Use publications that focus on your target audience. If you can, write at least two articles every week. Keep the length around 400 words. Follow the author guidelines for the e-zine, and don’t forget to include the link to your site.

These tactics will require a bit of time for set up, but the time will be well worth it when those affiliate checks start pouring in.
