Forum Networking

Thought this might be a good subject to talk about. If you’ve never joined a forum or not visited, gotten involved, I highly recommend it.

Joining the right forums can teach and give you more information than all the e-books you could put on your hard drive. See, it’s not only the information you get for free, but getting to know people that are doing the exact same thing you are.

Some of my best friendships online have been introduced in forums. By asking questions, getting involved in conversations, it’s totally amazing what you learn. Not only that but most forums will allow you to place your site links in your signature. Doing this of course in popular forums is a great link back to your site.

Not only is a great link to your site or business, but if you post intelligent and helpful information, members will click your links to get more information about you and what your business is about.

Take care what you do and post when you first join. You should first review the categories, read some of the posts, see if the forum is about subjects you have interest in. Wouldn’t recommend putting a link in your signature file in the beginning. Some forums won’t allow it anyway until you’ve introduced yourself and made a certain number of posts.

If the forum interests you, introduce yourself first. Let everyone know who you are, what your business is, how long you’ve been working online and where you live, etc.. Just a good all around introduction. After introducing yourself pick a thread you’ve been reading and feel you have something to add. Make your comments, subscribe to the thread and move to the next one.

Don’t recommend starting a thread of your own except your introduction, until you have a better feel and understanding how the forum works. Read all the forum rules for posting, etc. Add your signature to your profile when allowed, and start your own thread by asking a question or perhaps making comments on a subject you feel needs discussing.

Just get involved, make posts as often as you can, but don’t do the one liners. Forum posts stay online forever. Once the search engines have them archived, it’s written in stone so take care what you say and how you say it. :)

You will meet some of the nicest people in forums and people just like you and I that are doing everything we can to make online our sole business and source of income. Highly recommend joining and posting in forums.

These are a few of my recommendations and the ones I enjoy reading and participating in. Of course we have our own forum, small at this writing but visited by many, hopefully it will grow in the coming months. Even though it’s small, there is a lot of great info posted there for your review. Link is:

Soaring4Traffic Forum

Other forums I like and frequent often are:

The Members Forum
Net Marketing Forum
Conquer Your Niche Forum
Warrior Forum

Believe me, there is more information in those forums than you would ever believe. Each is a little different, but all have great information and good people. Suggest you check them out, and if possible participate in all of them, or pick the ones you like best and concentrate on them. Do get involved in forums. Your income might depend on it. :)

Hint: The Net Marketing Forum and The Members Forum both have a lot of traffic exchange owners and members posting and giving information 24/7.

As usual, love to have your comments and suggestions.

    Hi Ray,

I agree with you 100% about participating in forums.

I’ve learned much of what I know about online marketing from a variety of forums, including the ones you list.

In fact, I met you on the Affiliate Funnel forum a few months ago when you provided a good answer to a question I’d asked. As a result, I followed the link in your signature and signed up for your Private Success Team and started getting to know you better in your forum.

I jumped on the chance to join your Soaring 4 Traffic exchange and think I’m one of those examples of how providing good, helpful information to someone can result in residual income.

(That sounds awkward. What I’m trying to say is that I’m happy to pay you every month for being a pro member of your Soaring 4 Traffic exchange because you have been so helpful in many other ways.)

Also, in the process, I gained a new friend.

And, I’m meeting even more people in your forums, so the process continues.

Forum participation, when done right, is a very good thing.

    Act on your dream!
