The Importance Of Generating Web Traffic From Your Target Market
If you really want to take advantage of what the internet has to offer, start focusing on your target market for your business. Far too many entrepreneurs are wasting hours upon hours promoting to anybody and everybody. If you want to generate web traffic that is worth your time, the answer lies within your target market.
Some entrepreneurs judge their success based off of the amount of visitors they get to their site every day. Of course the more visitors you have coming the better. Chances are at least some of this web traffic will turn into profit.
However, instead of focusing on quantity you should begin to realize the importance of quality. If one web site generates 100 visitors a day and gets one sell, it really is not that great of a day. If another web site generates 10 visitors a day and gets 5 sells, this web site will have had a better day.
Obviously it is much more difficult to get a 50 percent sells rate, almost impossible, but focusing on your target market makes it far more reasonable. There are too many entrepreneurs who get “used to” rejection and become accustomed to dealing with it on a daily basis. While it is extremely difficult to convert every visitor into a customer, you do not need to “deal” with constant rejection.
Instead of wasting your time promoting to anybody and everybody, put this time to better use. Spend time plotting out who your target market is, where they are, what they are really looking for and how you can reach them.
And there are a number of ways you reach them including posting in forums, writing articles, traffic exchanges, twitter, facebook, and exchanging links.
Reach them by making your offer with a subscribe form, often referred to as a lead capture page, for follow up and further communications.
