To splash or to squeeze?

Let’s get straight what a splash page is and what a squeeze page is.

A splash page is a fast-loading web page that ideally fits in the browser window without having to scroll down to see all of it. It is designed to immediately capture attention and get you to click through to another web page, thereby driving traffic to your web site. Splash pages require only basic HTML coding skills and an eye-catching graphic.

You can easily code a splash page on your favorite WYSIWYG editor or text editor. Or you can join AdKreator (the green banner on the right) and, with just a few clicks of your mouse, make a splash page with professional graphics. Free members of AdKreator can create one splash page with editing options and have it hosted by ADK, or  save them to their computers.

A squeeze page is similar to a splash page in construction. A squeeze page makes you an offer that you can’t refuse, something like a free report, some free graphics, or a free site membership. The catch is that to collect on the offer, the visitor must first supply an email address. The email address then gets added to your list for later mailings, usually from an autoresponder series.

A squeeze page is the main tool you would use for building your list. Upgraded AdKreator members can create squeeze pages, as well as save multiple squeeze and splash pages for later editing.

I am a proud co-owner of AdKreator. It provides a needed service for internet marketers who have little or no web page building skills. It does not cost you anything to make your own splash pages with AdKreator. I am very proud to offer that service to you.

I will make a little money if you become a paid, upgraded AdKreator member. The FTC says that I have to disclose that bit of information. I wrote this post to let you know that you CAN make your own splash pages, with professional graphics, with just a few clicks of your mouse, and it doesn’t have to cost you anything.

Very concise synopsis Ray. Both are important depending on the genre and/or niche in which you advertise. I call my main site a splash when in reality it is probably more of a squeeze, but there is an important difference in certain circles (TE’s, Safelists, or even social media sites given many of them are inundated with stuff so ya better be somewhat splashish if that is a word).
