Most people are genuinely lazy and have no real concept of working towards a goal over time. They expect things to happen NOW with a minimum of fuss and effort. The other things that probably contributes to this is all those ads you see in TE's telling you that you can make $10000 a week just sitting there with out actually doing anything. Maybe TE's are partially responsible for this attitude by letting those ads run??? Just my thoughts.
